Welcome to the official website of the Legendary Unknown Bluesman Rastus Kain

Rastus Kain The Unknown Blues Man, what an extraordinary guitar man he was. Rastus would capture audiences with his swampy Florida sound on his 1966 Gibson Firebird. Rastus's style of playing was a clean bright tone with sweet tasteful notes. His electrifying slide playing and his raspy voice that touched your soul.

Rastus wrote about his life experiences and also wrote from the heart. Rastus songwriting has touched so many fans from Blues, Americana, Southern Rock and Country. Songs like Lock Up Your Daughters, Lonesome Side of Blue, Tough Year for Livin', Loser Street (Jim the Bum), Unknown Blues Man, Broke and Blue, One Eye Tied Behind My Back, These Blues and so many more.

During the mid-1990s (born Paul Galestro) had toured with James Peterson as his guitar man to traveled the United States and Germany. Paul Galestro and his band traveled parts of the United States and Saint Croix to make a name for himself. During the years 2000-2020 his wife April took over his bookings and together they would travel with the band.

During the year 2020 the world was in a pandemic - Coronavirus (Covid-19) and we all were in lockdown. Rastus was writing new material for the next album. Rastus and April we're planning on going to Nashville again to bring some music for an upcoming or current country music artist(s) to sing one of his songs.

Over the decades Rastus has shared or played with numerous artists like Pat Ramsey of Johnny Winter, Tab Benoit, Paul Nelson of Johnny Winter, Eric Burdon, Bruce Weibel of Gregg Allman and Firehouse, Scott Spray of Johnny Winter, Johnny Copeland, Charlie Mussel White, Gatemouth Brown, Mike Zito, Damon Fowler, Johnny Rawls, Joey Gilmore, Smokin' Joe kubek and Bnois King and Lucky Peterson to name a few. There are other great musicians that Rastus Kain played with, you can see pictures of them under the photos section of website. Enjoy!
